Chama Insurance Agency

Our foundation dates back to 2010 when Russet Ltd was incorporated as a financial and risk advisory firm and later re-constituted as Russet Insurance Agency Ltd to offer insurance broking and consulting services. In 2015, under the auspices of Amalgamated Chama Ltd and the Kenya Association of Investment Groups, an insurance intermediation provision annex was incorporated to augment the risk-related services offered by the 2 entities into risk transfer. In 2021, Russet agreed to join Chama Group in a merger deal and strategic alignment, a working connection identified and initiated with a common vision – to be the company that changed how everyone perceived insurance. Chama is licensed and regulated by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) and is a member of Association of Kenya Professional Insurance Agents (AKPIA). The head office is located at 3rd floor, International House, Mama Ngina Street, Nairobi. Passionate and different, the company is governed by a board of directors who provide oversight and strategic direction. The management team has over 50 years combined extensive local and regional experience in insurance broking, all committed to making a difference, all for a better tomorrow.
